About the role
About the Role Workbolt AI is seeking experienced lawyers for an active remote project supporting advanced legal AI systems. You will apply professional legal judgment to realistic research, drafting, analysis, and evaluation tasks across complex and sometimes ambiguous fact patterns. What You Will Work On Assignments may involve identifying legal issues, researching and reconciling authorities, analyzing contracts and transaction documents, evaluating litigation or regulatory arguments, drafting concise memoranda, and reviewing AI-generated legal work for accuracy, completeness, citation quality, reasoning, and professional judgment. Practice-area needs may include corporate and M&A, capital markets, finance, litigation, regulatory, compliance, and commercial law. Preferred Background We are particularly interested in graduates of leading law schools such as Harvard, Yale, Stanford, Columbia, the University of Chicago, NYU, and the University of Pennsylvania, as well as attorneys trained at elite firms such as Wachtell Lipton, Cravath, Sullivan & Cromwell, Skadden, Latham & Watkins, Kirkland & Ellis, Davis Polk, Simpson Thacher, or comparable firms. Relevant transactional or financial-services experience at institutions such as Lazard may also be valuable. These examples are preferred signals, not exclusive requirements; equivalent academic and professional achievement is welcome. Contract and Payment Information This is a fully remote, project-based independent-contractor role. Project duration and weekly workload may vary or change according to client needs and performance. Compensation ranges from $60 to $150 per hour depending on scope, jurisdiction, practice-area expertise, and experience. Experts must not disclose or use privileged, confidential, or proprietary information from any employer, client, court, or institution. This work does not involve providing legal advice to Workbolt users or forming an attorney-client relationship.

Responsibilities
- •Analyze complex legal questions and ambiguous fact patterns, identify controlling issues, and produce clear, well-supported conclusions.
- •Research and reconcile statutes, regulations, cases, contractual provisions, and other authorities while distinguishing binding, persuasive, and conflicting sources.
- •Draft and review legal memoranda, contract analyses, transaction summaries, argument outlines, evaluation rubrics, and reference responses suitable for sophisticated professional audiences.
- •Evaluate AI-generated legal work for substantive accuracy, issue spotting, citation quality, logical reasoning, completeness, jurisdictional fit, and professional judgment.
- •Provide precise feedback, document assumptions and limitations, incorporate reviewer comments, protect privileged and confidential information, and deliver independently in a remote project environment.
