About the Role Workbolt AI is seeking STEM PhD experts in physics, chemistry, mathematics, and biology for an active remote project supporting advanced AI systems. You will apply doctoral-level subject-matter expertise to challenging analytical, modeling, scientific-writing, and problem-solving tasks. What You Will Work On Experts may create difficult, original problems in their discipline; develop clear reference solutions; analyze quantitative or experimental evidence; review scientific reasoning; evaluate AI-generated answers for accuracy and rigor; and produce scoring rubrics that distinguish strong responses from plausible but incorrect ones. Work may include open-ended or interdisciplinary questions involving modeling, data analysis, proof, simulation, experimental design, or interpretation of research. Preferred Academic Background A completed PhD in physics, chemistry, mathematics, biology, or a closely related field is required. We especially welcome graduates and researchers from globally leading institutions such as MIT, Stanford, Harvard, Caltech, Princeton, UC Berkeley, Cambridge, Oxford, Imperial College London, ETH Zurich, EPFL, the University of Chicago, Columbia, Yale, Cornell, or comparable universities and national research institutes. These examples are preferred signals rather than an exhaustive list; equivalent doctoral training and research achievement are welcome. Typical Deliverables Deliverables may include original graduate-level problems, step-by-step reference solutions, quantitative analyses, model evaluations, scientific critiques, structured rubrics, reviewer notes, and revisions responding to peer feedback. Contract and Payment Information This is a fully remote, project-based independent-contractor role paying $100 per hour. Responsibilities

  • Create original, technically demanding problems in physics, chemistry, mathematics, biology, or a closely related subfield that test deep scientific reasoning rather than memorization.
  • Develop rigorous reference solutions, proofs, calculations, models, or experimental analyses with clearly stated assumptions, units, notation, and limitations.
  • Evaluate AI-generated scientific answers for factual accuracy, logical validity, quantitative correctness, methodological rigor, completeness, and clarity.
  • Design detailed scoring rubrics, identify common failure modes or shortcut solutions, and provide precise evidence-based feedback that supports reliable model evaluation.
  • Participate in peer review, incorporate reviewer comments, document uncertainty and disciplinary conventions, protect confidential research information, and deliver independently in a remote environment.
