1. About the Role: We are seeking a professional voice actor for a scripted voice acting project. This role calls for a male voice between 35–45 years old with natural American-accented English and a warm, natural, emotionally grounded storytelling style. We are looking for a voice that feels friendly, trustworthy, and human. The ideal voice should sound like someone telling a meaningful story with care and authenticity, rather than an announcer reading a script. You will deliver scripted voice recordings that capture a specific tone, character, emotion, and performance style. The focus is on bringing written scripts to life with natural pacing, clear delivery, emotional nuance, and consistent professional performance. This role is especially well suited for voice actors with experience in narration, audiobooks, documentary storytelling, character-driven narration, emotional commercial reads, podcasts, or long-form storytelling. 2. Performance Style: You may be asked to perform scripts similar in tone to: - A heartfelt personal story - A grounded character narration - A calm, conversational explainer The goal is to sound warm, believable, and emotionally present while maintaining clarity, consistency, and professional polish. 3. Performance Direction: Read with a warm, natural, and grounded tone. The performance should feel conversational, sincere, and emotionally connected, with a clear sense of care and presence. The ideal performance should be easy to listen to, trustworthy, and quietly engaging. Strong candidates will be able to create emotional depth through subtle pacing, tone, and rhythm without sounding overly dramatic or sentimental. We are not looking for a polished announcer voice or an overly dramatic performance. The voice should feel authentic, approachable, and human. 4. Recording Expectations: You will be provided with scripted material and expected to deliver high-quality voice recordings that demonstrate clear pronunciation and articulation, natural pacing and rhythm, consistent vocal performance, emotional control and expression, and professional recording quality. 5. Ideal Background: This role is a strong fit for voice actors with experience in narrative voiceover, audiobook narration, documentary storytelling, commercial reads with emotional depth, podcast or conversational storytelling, character-driven narration, and professional presentation-style reads. 6. Audition Process: Selected applicants will complete a short audition using provided script lines. The audition will help us evaluate voice quality, American accent naturalness and clarity, performance style, recording quality, emotional authenticity and consistency, and overall fit for the project. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to contribute professional voice recordings used to support the development of advanced AI voice and language technologies.
